Where can I place Locusludi stickers?

Interior walls, glasses, melamine or lacquered furniture, mirrors, doors…the important thing is that the surfaces are hard, smooth, dry and completely clean. Also you should avoid placing them close to heat points or wet places. You shouldn’t put any sticker in a fresh painted surface. If you have just painted a wall wait at least two weeks before placing the wall sticker.

What you will receive from Locusludi.

Your sticker, depending on the sticker measures may be sent divided into pieces to make the placement easier. In this case you will also receive an explanatory illustration. The sticker comes well protected. We place it in between a transfer ‘semi-transparent sheet’ and a silicone paper. Both come sometimes attached by small pieces of tape which avoid separation during transportation.

Step by step placement.

1.First thing you have to do is to pass a plastic card (for example a credit card) over the transfer (semi-transparent sheet), having it on a plane surface, in order to assure that the sticker is well attached to the transfer.

2.Separate those sheets making a tab in the silicone sheet, in the upper part of the design.

3.At this point we can place our sticker on the chosen surface. For that purpose, fix the upper part of the transfer sheet with small pieces of tape to the wall or chosen surface. If you have the design in pieces, first place the bigger or main figure.

4.Once placed on the surface, fix it with some more tape. Make sure that the upper part of the design is completely fixed to the surface (always using soft tape to avoid damaging the surface).

5.Remove slowly the silicone sheet. At the same time press the sticker with the plastic card from the center till the ends to assure the fixation.

6.Remove the tape that attaches the transfer sheet to the surface and before tearing off the transfer, press the sticker again with the scraper paying special attention to the thinner parts. After that you can tear off vertically downwards the transfer sheet slowly. Note: In glass or furniture surfaces you can apply a bit of water with spray in order to remove the transfer sheet easier (Attention: never do the same on painted surfaces!)

7.If your design is divided in several pieces, to facilitate the placement continue to apply the second part and again follow the steps above.

8.If the sticker is small, the placement is easier. You can completely remove the silicone paper and place the transfer with the sticker in the desired position carefully, starting to stick from up to the bottom with the help of the plastic card or a clean cloth.

9.If you find a little bubble inside the sticker you can punch it with a needle and then press the air out with a clean cloth.

How to remove a wall sticker?

You just have to tear it off carefully. It is possible that in some walls the paint goes away due to the adhesive. Therefore it is recommended to apply some heat from a hairdryer to reduce the adherence and make the peeling off process easier.
